This Keto Chaffle with Scallion Cream Cheese recipe is a great Keto breakfast alternative to a traditional bagel with cream cheese.
Ok admittedly this isn’t the most elegant breakfast I’ve prepared, and I definitely went overboard on the green onions (I love green onions, so no regrets!), but otherwise I highly recommend this as a delicious breakfast! I made this the other weekend when I was in a rush for breakfast and didn’t feel like eating traditional scrambled eggs. I had some leftover green onions in the fridge and remembered the good old days when I used to eat an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. So i decided to reinvent that same meal without the carbs!
This recipe is a Keto Everything Chaffle with Scallion Cream Cheese. You could totally chop up the scallions fine and toss them into the cream cheese mix (and I’ll likely try that next time), but I just ended up tossing the sliced green onions on top.
Here’s what you’ll need for this breakfast:
- You’ll also need some Everything Bagel Seasoning (available here on Amazon if you don’t have some already. Many also have success finding this at their local Trader Joes. For those who haven’t tried it before, this stuff is literally AMAZING.
- You’ll also need one egg, 1/2 a cup of mozzarella cheese, and about 1/4 cup of cream cheese. And of course, the star ingredient of the dish – some sliced scallions!
